Our History

Triad Mechanical Services, Inc. was founded in June 1990 by Marvin Gattis, Everett Hicks, and Lee Lively as a full-service mechanical contracting firm, focusing on Plan and Specification Projects in the greater Austin area. Over the years, the company grew steadily, building a reputation for reliability and excellence in mechanical contracting.

In August 1999, Triad Mechanical Services moved into its own 3,200-square-foot office and warehouse, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth. By 2000, after just a decade in business, the company achieved annual sales of $2.5 million. The company celebrated another major achievement in 2008, completing its 500th project.

Triad Mechanical Services continued its upward trajectory, with annual sales doubling to $5.2 million by 2010. In 2011, co-founder Lee Lively retired, leaving Marvin Gattis and Everett Hicks to continue leading the company. By 2015, Triad Mechanical Services celebrated 25 years in business, having successfully completed 800 projects.

In 2019, after 29 years in business, Triad Mechanical Services passed the torch to Triad PHC. Under the new management of Heath Gattis, Brent Gattis, and Matt Dworaczyk, the company continued to build on its strong foundation. Following this transition, Everett Hicks retired in December 2022, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for Triad.

Since the transition to Triad PHC, the company has been on track to complete its 155th project, bringing the combined total of completed projects to 1,000 since its founding in 1990. Triad PHC continues the legacy of quality and commitment established by its predecessors, looking forward to future growth and success.

Matt Dworaczyk, Project Manager

Matt began his journey with Triad in 2003, starting in the HVAC Department. Through his dedication and commitment to the company, he quickly rose through the ranks to become part owner and Project Manager. In this role, Matt is responsible for the total control of our projects from start to completion, ensuring that every detail is managed with precision. His deep understanding of the industry and unwavering commitment to excellence make him an asset to our team, and a key driver of our projects’ success.

Jon Kirby, General Superintendent

Jon began his career with Triad in 2003 and has been a key figure in the company’s growth and success for over two decades. As the person responsible for all field operations, Jon plays a crucial role in coordinating between General Contractors, Field Supervisors, and our Project Foremen. Under his leadership, all Project Foremen report directly to him, ensuring that every project is completed safely, on time, and to our client’s exacting standards. His long tenure with Triad reflects his deep commitment and the trust the company places in his expertise.

Debbie Morkovsky, Director of Administration

Debbie is the primary point of contact for all administrative matters. She handles day-to-day operations, overseeing financials, administrative systems, managing budgets, and leading support staff, among other duties. Since joining the company in 1996, she has been a cornerstone of Triad, bringing years of experience and dedication to her role.

Ashley Frerich, Administrative Assistant

Working alongside the Director of Administration, she focuses on the administrative side of the accounts payable department where she is responsible for organizing and maintains the company’s purchasing records, including all documentation of financial transactions such as invoices and receipts. Despite being new to the company, she has quickly adapted to its systems and protocols, bringing valuable insights from her previous experiences.
